Call of Duty: Strike Team unexpectedly appeared on the App Store yesterday. Moreover, according to the first reviews, the Activision project is surprisingly good.

The new title is both a real-time strategy and a first-person shooter.

The events of Call of Duty: Strike Team take place in 2020. The USA is at war with an unknown enemy, which players must hunt down at all costs.

The campaign mode offers a single storyline. In the survival game mode, users face enemies that are becoming more difficult to defeat with each successive wave. Users can compare their records achieved in the survival game with the records of their friends and strangers using the leaderboard.

Strike Team is far from the franchise’s debut on mobile devices. In 2010, Activision released Call of Duty: Zombies on iOS.

Owners of iPhone 4S / iPad 2 and newer devices will be able to enjoy the novelty.

The price of the app is $6.99.

By the way, the authors of Operation Flashpoint from Bohemia Interactive also made a fuss. Yesterday they published a step-by-step strategy Arma Tactics. It looks nice, but there are problems with the UI.
