Activision Blizzard did not have time to share successful results in the third quarter of 2020, as its CEO made an additional statement. It turns out that the company lacks two thousand employees to continue to close all production needs.

According to the latest Activision Blizzard report, the publisher has become much more focused on games services and regularly prepares new projects.
For example, Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War and the addition to World of Warcraft — Shadowlands will start soon. Support for such games requires new resources, says Bobby Kotick.
At the same time, Activision Blizzard regularly arranged mass cuts earlier. The most of them happened in February 2019, when the publisher left 800 people out of work.
This year, the company closed two of its offices at once: in the Netherlands and France. Activision Blizzard promised to transfer some employees from closed divisions to other branches, but did not disclose how large this “part” would be.
The layoffs affected Blizzard the most — the daughter responsible for four key franchises of the company: World of Warcraft, Hearthstone, Diablo and Overwatch. However, it is worth noting that it is not developers who have been reduced, but people from support departments.
When exactly Activision Blizzard plans to hire new employees and what they will do is not reported.
