Sony has announced the PlayStation App, a somewhat belated response to Microsoft’s Xbox Glass. It is assumed that the application will make a “second screen” for console titles from the user’s mobile device, the GamesIndustry bulletin reports.
There is less than a month left before the release of the PS4, but the company is launching a mobile application for smart phones and tablets in advance. The debut in the USA will take place on November 13, and 9 days later the novelty will be available in Europe.
It is assumed that the application will allow you to use mobile gadgets as an auxiliary screen for PS4 titles.
The company gives the following example: in The Playroom, which comes bundled with PS4, players will be able to create three-dimensional objects on mobile phones, which will then appear in the virtual game world.
The program will also allow you to monitor how your friends are playing a particular project (stream broadcasts).
Using the application, it will also be possible to exchange messages within the Playstation Network, admire your own and other people’s trophies, purchase new games and DLC for them. Finally, the application will become a virtual remote control that will allow you to bring the console out of sleep mode or to control the player.
