Give me two. The Chinese publisher PUBG is developing not one, but two mobile versions of the game at once.

Mobile gamers will get two versions of PLAYERUNKNOWN’S BATTLEGROUNDS, and both will be official. The Chinese corporation Tencent, in collaboration with Bluehole Studio, announced work on two mobile games based on the most popular “battle royale”.

Daniel Ahmad, a game analyst at Niko Partners, announced their release on Twitter.

Titles are developed by Tencent’s internal studios — TIMI Studio and Lightspeed & Quantum Studios. Both games are created on the same engine as the original PUBG — Unreal Engine 4.

It is known that one version will represent a more or less accurate port of PLAYERUNKNOWN’S BATTLEGROUNDS.

The second one will be made more arcade and will add features that are not available in the desktop version. For example, moving on various watercraft and battles on the water.

Both games will be released in China. Nothing is known about their releases in other regions yet.

In addition to games from official developers, there are already many mobile clones of PLAYERUNKNOWN’S BATTLEGROUNDS from various studios. Among them are Survivor Royale, Knives Out, Rules of Survival and others.
