The main “battle royale” of modern PLAYERUNKNOWN’S BATTLEGROUNDS will be released on mobile platforms. Porting the game will be handled by the developer studio Bluehole Studios together with the Chinese megacorporation Tencent.

A message about the work on the mobile version of PUBG appeared on the Tencent-owned website qq. com. Daniel Ahmad, a game analyst at Niko Partners, drew attention to the news in Chinese on his Twitter.

It is known that the new mobile title will first be released in China. The note does not mention whether the game will be released in other regions and does not inform the release date.

In early November, Tencent became the official publisher of the PC version of PLAYERUNKNOWN’S BATTLEGROUNDS on the local market.

In addition, the Chinese corporation was negotiating with Bluehole to buy shares of the company, but the details of these negotiations were not disclosed.
