The Chinese corporation Tencent has signed a deal with Time Warner to include characters from the DC Comics universe in its mobile MOBA Strike of Kings.
Tencent has already announced the appearance of Superman, Batman and the Joker in Strike of Kings, and has also launched a survey among players to choose a new name for the title.
The acquisition of the rights to the images of popular comic book characters is part of Tencent’s campaign to promote Strike of Kings for Western users.
It is possible that Tencent will begin to include new characters from the DC comics universe in the game as movie blockbusters for the same franchise are released on world screens.
Strike of Kings is one of the most popular Tencent games. Her daily audience in China, where she is known as Honor of Kings, reaches 50 million players. The softlonch of the title in the West began in April of this year.
