The Hipster Whale team will work with the Japanese company Namco to create a game based on the classic PAC-MAN.
The title that the company will release together with Hipster Whale will be called PAC-MAN 256. It will appear on mobile devices this summer. The release of the project is timed to coincide with the anniversary of the original game – it was released in Japan 35 years ago, in 1980.
The game will be distributed on a shareware model.
Namco is known primarily as the publisher and developer of the famous Pac-Man series of games.
Hipster Whale is a studio that managed to gain fame in a short time thanks to its Crossy Road project. It has gained several million downloads in just a couple of months since its release.
