Rickard Nordin, a politician from Sweden, conducts weekly Hearthstone streams on the Twitch platform. During the broadcasts, he discusses various issues with the viewers of his channel. In particular, Nordin is interested in esports.
“I want esports to be treated the same as traditional sports. I also want to promote all the positive qualities that develop cyber competitions: team spirit, quick decision—making, strategic and logical thinking and learning English,” said a member of the Swedish parliament in an interview with the web publication Glixel.
He added that he did not want to be like his colleagues who “discuss food prices while standing outside the supermarket.” Instead, he communicates with people on the topics of esports competitions on the site where these competitions are broadcast.
Rikard Nordin promised to stream at least until the summer.
