The publishing division of Rovio has announced a game in the match-3 genre, close to the rules Farm Heroes Saga, but not devoid of innovative approaches in gameplay.
The novelty is called Jolly Jam. Visually, it is very close to Pudding Monsters: there are one-eyed monsters of indeterminate shape and a lot of jelly. However, the game functions within the approaches of the King product line, or rather its “farm” project, in which it is necessary to collect the required number of swipe objects at each level.
The main revolutionary feature of the game, without five minutes, is how exactly objects are collected on the playing field: the player does not swipe them in a row, but leads the frame (as in computer RTS). His goal is for the frame to start and end with an object of the same color. All objects of the same color that fall into the area are also collected.
Overall, the project looks interesting. The worldwide release is scheduled for this week. Waiting?
