Sales of the multiplayer action game Playerunknown’s Battlegrounds have crossed the milestone of 1 million copies in just 16 days after the release of Steam early access.
Success has accompanied the project of Brendan Green and the South Korean studio Bluehole since its appearance on Steam.
The game earned $11 million in the first three days after the opening of early access and has been in the lead in sales on Steam for more than two weeks.
The maximum online Playerunknown’s Battlegrounds reached 89,000 active players at the same time.
The success of the game was largely due to its popularity on the Twitch platform, where Playerunknown’s Battlegrounds became a popular spectacle, pushing League of Legends, Counter Strike: Global Offensive and Dota 2.
Playerunknown’s Battlegrounds is expected to be in early Access for no more than six months.
