The analytical company Newzoo has prepared a monthly rating of the 20 most popular PC games. It is compiled based on the number of unique gaming sessions of each title.
In July, Diablo III returned to the top 20 popular PC games. Blizzard role-playing action got to the 12th line in the rating, where it has been absent since May of this year. The revival of interest in Blizzard’s hit was facilitated by the release of DLC with new content.
In addition, the 18th place in the rating was taken by the Rust survival simulator, which last got there in April.

The strongest growth in popularity last month was shown by the physical sandbox Garry’s Mod. She rose 5 positions and took 14th place.
This is probably due to the July update, which added new features to the game and fixed bugs. In addition, from June 22 to July 4, the game was available with a 50% discount.
The most serious drop in the number of sessions in July was MOBA Heroes of the Storm, which dropped by 7 positions and closed the list on the 20th line.
