Another mobile developer from the CIS is entering the market of console and PC games. Today at Gamescom, the announcement of the Spine PvP action – the first Nekki project for “big” platforms – took place. This is a cooperative PvP action game from the studio Banzai Games, known for the mobile series Shadow Fight and Vector.
Spine
Spine is a third—person session action in a futuristic setting. Players control heroes from two opposing factions who, with the help of implants, bring their physical capabilities to the maximum.
The main gameplay of Spine is built around shootouts and melee. With the help of special abilities, players will be able to deflect bullets, shoot ricochets off walls and perform martial arts tricks.
According to Spine producer Dmitry Pimenov, now the authors of Shadow Fight are “ready to reach a completely new level.” The studio’s main focus is on cinematography, inspired by scenes from Hong Kong action movies and cult films like “The Matrix” and “Equilibrium“.
The developers will announce the release date of Spine later. The Banzai Games and Nekki project will be released on PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, as well as on iOS and Android. So far, the game page has appeared on Steam.
In addition to mobile titles, Nekki is known for a tool for creating Cascadeur game animations. Now this engine is used by over 80 thousand people, and the company itself in June announced additional investments in it in the amount of $ 1.5 million.
Nekki is not the first mobile company in the CIS, which this year announced the launch of “big” platforms. Earlier, MyTona announced a multiplayer AAA shooter The Day Before, and Minsk-based Vizor is currently working on two major titles — the PvP action game Blood of Heroes and the football simulator UFL on Unreal Engine.
