The online quiz “Clover” from VKontakte has gained 1.5 million mobile downloads in less than three weeks, the press service of the social network reports with reference to the App Annie service. On March 23, the game set a record for daily downloads in the Russian App Store and Google Play among quizzes, and also became the most downloaded quiz in 2018.

According to the developers, the daily increase in the audience reaches 30% without investing in marketing, and 74% of downloads occur through referral links from friends. Bringing a friend into the game gives participants additional attempts to win.

“Clover” is a quiz with real cash prizes, reminiscent of the Western project HQ Trivia. From mid-March to the beginning of April, 738 thousand rubles were played in the “Clover”. More than 315 thousand people participated in the last Sunday game on April 1.

“The game combines the mechanics of popular TV shows, modern technologies of social networks and online broadcasts. To participate, you do not need to apply, pass auditions and go to another city — just download the app and connect to the game,” the creators report.

The interactive game takes place at 13:00 and 20:00 Moscow time on weekdays and at 20:00 on weekends. To win, you need to correctly answer 12 questions live, the cash prize is divided equally between the winners.

Russian celebrities are participating in the project — the Sunday game broadcasts were hosted by showman Ivan Urgant and rapper Dzhigan.
