Gearbox Software will stop developing updates for the Battleborn team shooter after the release of the latest Fall Update.

This was announced by the creative director of the project Randy Varnell (Randy Varnell) in a statement published on the official Gearbox forum.

Despite the refusal to release new content, Gearbox promises to support the operation of Battleborn servers in the foreseeable future.

However, the servers are almost empty — over the past 30 days, the peak attendance of the game was 72 people.

In addition to the news of the termination of the development of Battleborn, Varnell announced the start of work on a new project for the Borderlands franchise.

Battleborn was released on May 3, 2016 on PC and consoles.
