The Hitman franchise turns 20 this month. In honor of this event, IO Interactive said that the audience of Agent 47 games exceeded 70 million people.The developers told about this in their blog.
In honor of the anniversary, the company also shared the following statistics:
- Seven games in the Hitman franchise have been released in 20 years;during this time, Agent 47 managed to visit six continents and complete more than 100 missions;
- Two feature films, a comic book series and two mobile games were also released.
- The first game in the Hitman: Codename 47 series was released on November 21, 2000.
IO Interactive is currently working on HITMAN 3, which will be released early next year for consoles and PCs.
