Although Dying Light 2: Stay Human still tops the Steam bestseller chart, Lost Ark is breathing down her back. Last week, sets with bonuses for Korean MMORPG took five places in the ranking at once. Also, Lost Ark became the second peak online game in the history of Steam.
Zombie action from Techland leads the Steam chart for the second week in a row, but no longer dominates it. Last time, thanks to various publications and pre—orders, Dying Light 2 snatched six places out of ten, but now it got “only” three – the first, eighth and tenth.
Almost all the other lines in the chart were occupied by Lost Ark, the western release of which took place on February 11. Although the game itself is free, gamers bought special kits for it. So they could get not only bonuses, but also early access to the project. The platinum pack, which took second place in the ranking of the best-selling games of the week, showed the best sales.
All this has led to the rapid growth of the Korean MMORPG online.
Recall that the English-language Lost Ark achieved popularity on Steam three days before the release. Immediately after the early access was opened, her online exceeded 500 thousand people. On the premiere day, 983,483 people played at the same time in Lost Ark, and the next day — already 1,325,305 people.
As a result, Lost Ark became the second in the list of games with the largest peak online on Steam for all time of existence. Only PUBG had more online — 3,257,248 people. Also, at the time of writing, Lost Ark holds the first place in daily online, ahead by almost 400 thousand people of the CS:GO following it.
In addition to Dying Light 2 and Lost Ark, only two games were able to break into the weekly Steam bestseller chart. The pre-order of Enden Ring took the fifth place, and the pre-order of Total War: WARHAMMER III — the seventh.
