Google announced itself as a new strong participant in the “big games” market by announcing Baldur’s Gate 3 from Larian Studios as part of the presentation of its Stadia cloud platform.
There are no details about the game itself yet. It is only just reported that the number of studio employees has been tripled for its development, and the budget is “very large”.
The fact that the game will be exclusive to the site is out of the question, as far as can be understood from the announcement, so far (Kotaku also reports this with reference to the studio management), however, the founder and head of Larian Studios, Sven Vincke, noted that he was glad to cooperate with Google. According to him, Baldur’s Gate 3 players at Stadia will be able to essentially play at maximum settings and in 4K.
