The Google Play mobile app store has announced its own event dedicated to indie games.

Riptide GP Renegade

Riptide GP: Renegade
The event is called Indie Games Festival.

It will be held in San Francisco on September 18. Within the framework of the festival, which will be open to a wide audience, 30 more game projects will be presented (what kind of games can be viewed here).

Festival visitors will be able to play the exhibited projects and communicate with their developers, as well as vote for the best. According to the results of the voting, 15 games will be selected. Then a jury of experts will select the 3 best projects.

Unfortunately, it is no longer possible to submit your application for participation as a developer.

The main question for us now is whether Google plans to hold similar events in the future, will it be going to go beyond Google I/O more thoroughly, or is this just a special case?
