As the New Year approaches, the service SteamDB shared its observations about Steam. It estimated that in the partial year of 2025, a record number of games were released on the Valve platform — 19,200. However, almost half of them barely piqued anyone’s interest.

The service SteamDB has started publishing two additional rankings. In one, it sorts games on Steam by the number of daily active users (DAU), and in the other—by “wishlist activity.”

Thanks to the new toolkit of the analytical service, it’s now possible not only to find projects on Steam that are created and promoted with the participation of artificial intelligence but also to count their number.

The service SteamDB, which tracks game metrics on Steam, has published a list of this year’s most warmly received new releases on the Valve platform.
