The latest study of the American smartphone market demonstrates the weak growth dynamics of the Android platform and the good pace of the “Apple” OS.
According to comScore, in the fourth quarter of 2012, Apple not only retained, but also increased its own share in the American smartphone market by 2%. Now the “apple” company has 36.3% of the market. Samsung is breathing down her neck, whose dynamics allowed her to grab 2.3% of the market in October-December. Now the Koreans have a segment of 21%.
HTC and Motorola with shares of 10.2% and 9.1%, respectively, only lost in the 4th quarter. Moreover, the Taiwanese company missed as much as 1.8% of the market. As for Motorola, its losses were not so significant – 0.7%.

BlackBerry continued to lose its market at the end of 2012. In three months, she lost 2%. Its share was 6.4%. Microsoft, despite the release of new devices on Windows Phone 8, also showed a drop of 0.7% to 2.9%.
