The first thing we found out was that games represent 32% of the total number of applications in the store. The most popular genre is casual – in January it accounted for up to 26% of games, in February – 44%.

Facebook turned out to be the most popular of non-gaming applications.

User habits vary from country to country. In China, the owner of a mobile device downloads more than 5 shopping apps to it. The Japanese love games – there are more than 5 apps from this category per local user. Koreans love to overclock, clean and protect their devices – the most popular applications in this country belong to the “tools” category. The British mainly use applications for watching videos and media – there are more than 5 applications of this kind per Englishman.

Russia and China share the first two places in terms of the number of applications installed on one device. On average, there are up to 37 applications per user in the world. The Russian owner of the smartphone downloads more than 40 applications, and the Chinese – up to 50.

The rhythm of activity among users also varies depending on the geographical location, although especially strongly. Americans “communicate” with their devices in the afternoon. But Mexicans, on the contrary, are early risers – most often they use their mobile devices in the morning. The rest of the inhabitants of the planet are more or less the same in their habits. They look at smartphones together in the interval from 12 to 13 and from 19 to 20 hours.
