CD Projekt is preparing for trial with disgruntled investors. The studio said that it has faced at least one lawsuit and is now going to take the most “decisive” actions to protect itself.
The developers of Cyberpunk 2077 wrote about this in response to the legal claims of a certain law firm acting on behalf of investors. CD Projekt did not specify the name of this company, but stressed that the lawsuit was filed in the US Federal District Court
CD Projekt also noted that the claim does not specify the amount of damage that it should reimburse its investors.
Recall that recently some of the holders of securities of the Polish studio were so outraged by the situation around the problematic release of Cyberpunk 2077 that they decided to sue CD Projekt. According to investors, the company deliberately misled them about the real state of the game and caused losses.
To date, it is known about two possible lawsuits from American law firms: Schall Law from Los Angeles and Rosen from New York. Earlier, the Warsaw Wolf Haldenstein Adler Freeman & Herz LLP also spoke about plans to oppose the developers of Cyberpunk 2077.
