Voodoo has launched the online platform Voodoo Academy. Its goal is to teach the basics of hyper–casual game development to young professionals, as well as to support their projects.
However, the target audience of Voodoo Academy is not only novice developers and beginners in the hyper-casual sphere, but also those developers who have already worked in this direction.
Students of the online platform will be able to take individual courses created by the Voodoo development team. New courses will appear on a regular basis.
In general, students will have access to:
- coaching sessions with existing Voodoo studios and industry experts;
- presentations and online lectures that students can receive on request;
- periodically replenished course library;
- events and online broadcasts with partner studios, such as OHM Games;
- individual lessons with industry experts;
- communicating directly with the Voodoo Publishing team.
Those who complete the training program will have access to the Voodoo publishing and testing platform. Students will also receive prizes for successfully completed stages – $ 1,000 for three game prototypes and up to $3,000 for all prototypes with high potential, which will be tested by members of Voodoo Academy.
The creators of Voodoo Academy believe that their platform and training program will allow novice developers to gain the necessary knowledge, experience and working contacts faster. It usually takes months and years.
“We believe that with proper training from Voodoo experts, novice developers of hyper-casual games will be able to gain many years of experience in just a few months. We offer students free training, exchange of experience and the opportunity to achieve long–term success under the guidance of Voodoo,” commented Stanislas Marchand, head of Voodoo Academy.
Registration forms on the Voodoo Academy website
It is still unclear exactly how to become a student of the training program. However, at the time of publication, two application forms are available on the Voodoo Academy website – for beginners and for experienced developers.
The training program will begin with a live broadcast on April 14th, which will be attended by specialists from Blue Monkey Studio. They will share their experience and tips on creating a successful startup in the field of hyper-casual.
