A new, 76th version of the Google Chrome browser has been released. One of the unpleasant, but long-awaited innovations turned out to be blocking Flash elements by default.

The browser no longer reproduces Flash content on websites, including games. To play, the user must enable Flash support via Advanced > Privacy and Security > Site Settings. But even after that, the playback of each Flash element will need to be confirmed manually. The confirmation will be valid only until the browser is closed.

Recall that Google has agreed with Adobe on the upcoming shutdown of Flash. It will take place next year. So, in the version of Chrome 87, scheduled for December 2020, Flash support will disappear completely.
