Streaming service Twitch announced the launch of a digital store with games on the evening of April 4.
“We are introducing new Twitch features: buy cool games, get rewarded for it and support your favorite streamers. If a streamer broadcasts a game from the Twitch store, it can be purchased without leaving the channel,” representatives of the platform said.
At the start, 50 games are available on Twitch, including such titles For Honor, Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon: Wildlands, Firewatch, Warframe and others.
Spending at least $5 in the store, users receive Twitch Crates containing random sets of bonuses for their account: emojis and chat icons, virtual currency, and others.
To spur purchases at the start, Twitch has launched a lottery where participants can win professional video streaming equipment worth up to $500 via Twitch Crate.
Under the terms of cooperation with Twitch, developers will receive 70% of revenue from each sale, streamers – 5%, and the service will take the remaining 25%.
