The founder of the analytical service Steam Spy Sergey Galenkin has suspended accepting payments on Patreon. According to the developer, the service is having problems right now.

We are talking about difficulties with collecting data from Steam. Sergey stated on the Patreon website that he does not know when he will have time to resolve the situation. For this reason, he stopped accepting money “until the problem is solved.”

According to Patreon’s open data, Sergey managed to collect up to $14 thousand per month on the service.

The suspension of payments was first reported at the end of last March. Then there was information in the Twitter feed of the service that the site had fallen and until it recovered, the fee from the people supporting it financially would not be withdrawn.

Previously, Steam Spy has already faced difficulties. In April last year, Steam closed by default access to the game libraries of its users, from which the service was based in the first place. After that, Sergey had to make significant changes to the work of the site.

Whether he is ready to devote a large amount of time to the service again is an open question, given the difficult time in his main position. He holds the post of Director of Publishing Strategy at Epic Games.
