Russian social networks are actively promoting the development of mobile HTML5 games. The other day, Odnoklassniki and VKontakte announced a contest for their creators. They promise money and traffic.
The competition is called Games Cup 2019. It is positioned as a tournament among developers. Works for the event will be accepted until September 27.
Conditions
To participate in the competition, you must submit an application on the Games Cup 2019 website. The submission conditions depend on the developer category.
Experienced teams, whose shoulders have already created more than one project, fall into the PRO category. To participate, they need to place the game on either or both platforms at once.
Important: only those projects that have not previously been published in Odnoklassniki or VKontakte can participate in this category. However, it is not prohibited to submit those games that were previously hosted on other platforms.
The second category is New Star. It is designed for young teams with no experience in game development and release. It is enough for such teams to submit to the competition even a sketch of the interface with a text description of the mechanics.
Important: before September 27, you will still have to make a playable HTML5 prototype for mobile devices. Otherwise, the team should definitely not count on winning.
Prizes
At the end of the competition, the jury will determine six winners — three in each category. The prizes depend on the experience of the developers.
The winners among the PRO developers will receive downloads.
As for the winners among young developers, they will be awarded money.
Also, a separate cash prize in the amount of 300 thousand rubles will be in the hands of the team whose project maximally uses the social mechanics of the Odnoklassniki social network.
There will be a special nomination, as well as a prize from App2Top.ru . However, we will announce our nomination separately.

According to the organizers, the current event is a continuation of the Instant Games Cup developers championship, which took place last fall. Then the winner was promised to allocate 1 million downloads.
At the same time, Odnoklassniki highlights that the Games Cup 2019 is held as part of the company’s IT championships series Mail.ru Group, which also organizes the Russian Code Cup, Russian AI Cup, Mail Design Cup and other events.
The winners of the Games Cup 2019 will be announced on October 4.
