Cloud gaming on Facebook is becoming more popular. The company reported that 1.5 million people use the service every month. The social network also shared plans for the development of this area and announced a partnership with Ubisoft.Assassin’s Creed Rebellion

Facebook announced this in a new report published on the official blog on July 1.

The company is satisfied with the indicator of 1.5 million users, considering such an audience “significant” for cloud gaming.

At the moment, the service infrastructure covers 98% of US residents. By the fall of 2021, the social network plans to increase this value to 100%. Facebook has also started to introduce its service in Canada and Mexico, and plans to launch it in central and western Europe in early 2022. Russia is still not on the list of regions.

The company continues to focus on free-to-play and mobile games. Now the Facebook cloud service has 25 titles, including Roller Coaster Tycoon Touch, Dragon Mania Legends and State of Survival.

Since July, Ubisoft has become a new partner of the platform. Such mobile projects of the company as Assassin’s Creed Rebellion, Hungry Shark Evolution and Hungry Dragon have become available in the service. Mighty Quest and Trials Frontier will be added to the catalog by the end of the year.

Facebook launched a cloud gaming service in October last year. The company still adheres to the chosen strategy, without requiring users to pay for a subscription and without creating a separate application for its product.

At the same time, on mobile platforms, the Facebook cloud service is still only available in the Android app. Due to Apple restrictions, iOS users can only use it through a browser.
