On the first of May, a selection of Best of April appeared in the App Store. It is easy to guess that the best applications of the past month were included in it according to the version of the Apple mobile app store.
The selection itself is divided into three sub-assemblies in the USA and Canada (“best game and best app of the month” (Best App & Game), “great Games” (Great Games) and “great Apps” (Amazing Apps)), and two sub-assemblies in all others, including Russian (“great games” and “great apps”).
In the USA, the best game of last month for the iPhone, according to Apple, was Leo’s Fortune, and the best application was NYT Now. The best game of last month for iPad was Hearthstone, and the best application was Comedy Central.
Curiously, there are other leaders in the Canadian store – Monument Valley and Baby Bundle.
As for the applications included in the “great games” and “great apps”, they differ significantly from region to region. As we understood, those applications that were featured during the month by Apple in a particular country got into the sub-assemblies. .
Our colleagues from Western publications believe that the selection will become monthly. However, it is not entirely clear whether the Best App & Game will appear outside of North America in the future.
