During WWDC 2015, Apple talked about three new tools that will appear for developers of applications for iOS 9, the worldwide release of which is scheduled for this fall.
They will be:
- GameplayKit – it will help with creating AI and finding ways in games
- Model I/O – with its help it will be possible to work with lighting
- ReplayKit – its implementation in games will allow you to record and share gameplay videos
In total, game developers now have as many as six tools from Apple at their disposal. In addition to those listed, the conditional group also includes the SpriteKit and SceneKit frameworks, as well as the Metal API.
You can work in all of them, both on Objective-C and Swift, which, as it was also announced at the event today, is now open source.
