We continue to publish the results of a salary survey conducted from April to May 2023 by chapters. This publication focuses on the income levels of Russian-speaking game analysts.

We remind you that we are currently conducting a new salary survey. With this survey, we aim to gather up-to-date data on the salary situation among Russian-speaking and Russian specialists. You can take the survey here:

The average salary for an analyst in the Russian-speaking gaming industry is $3,037. The median is $2,700.

The largest salary group (18.5%) of analysts in game development earns between $2,000 and $2,500.

As with marketers, the share of analysts earning less than $1,000 is quite small. Here, it is 11.1%.

In fact, one respondent mentioned earning more than $10,000 a month.

Nearly 20% of surveyed analysts currently live in Cyprus. Slightly more, 30%, reside in Russia. The salary of specialists who remain in their homeland is half that of their Cypriot colleagues.

Today, product analysts earn an average of $2,831. Those working with data earn significantly more, about $3,575.

The starting rate for a junior analyst begins at the same level as a junior game designer. However, mid-level analysts already earn $2,425 per month. Overall, looking at the figures, one can conclude that each new level in the specialty results in a twofold increase in salary (however, this is not the case when moving from Senior to Lead/Head).

Methodology

The study is the result of the third salary survey of Russian-speaking representatives of the gaming industry. The survey was conducted by WN Media Group from April to May 2023 through voluntary questionnaires (users independently filled out freely distributed questionnaires with questions).

During the survey, 1,004 completed questionnaires were collected. Of these, 28 were from analysts.
