President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko signed a decree on blocking a number of services of Russian companies Yandex and Mail.Ru Group.

This is reported by the Vedomosti newspaper with reference to the website of the head of state.

The decision is connected “with the ongoing armed aggression of Russia against Ukraine,” the regulation says.

The document obliges Ukrainian providers to block access to all Yandex services, except the main page.

Also, all Mail services were blocked.Ru, including social networks Vkontakte and Odnoklassniki.

The sanctions will also affect such representatives of the Russian IT industry as Kaspersky Lab, DrWeb, ABBYY and 1C.

Restrictions on work for Russian enterprises in Ukraine have been introduced for a three-year period.

The decree is dated May 15 and comes into force from the moment of its official publication.
