The La Forge research unit from Ubisoft Montreal showed the Ghostwriter neural network. Her main task is to help screenwriters with writing phrases that are pronounced by NPCs.
Ghostwriter works as follows. The screenwriter transmits data about the NPC to the neural network, for example, describes the events happening to the character. Based on them, Ghostwriter generates replicas, and then the screenwriter chooses the most successful option himself and, if necessary, edits the text.
Ubisoft stressed that Ghostwriter will not replace screenwriters, but will only make their work easier and free them from routine tasks.
