A group of players from the United States has filed a lawsuit against Ubisoft. The company is accused of illegally sharing user personal data from the Ubisoft Store and Ubisoft+ subscription with third parties.

The lawsuit claims that Ubisoft sends players' data to the corporation Meta*. It uses the analytics service Meta Pixel** to collect and transmit information, which allows evaluating advertising effectiveness. According to the plaintiffs, if desired, not only Meta* but "any person with basic technical skills" could access the information collected by the service.
The plaintiffs emphasized that Ubisoft does not inform players about the use of Meta Pixel**.
The plaintiffs demand that Ubisoft stop working with Meta Pixel** or start asking for consent to share their data. They also seek compensation for all affected users.
Journalist Stephen Totilo from Game File noted that in recent years, there has been a surge in lawsuits due to Meta Pixel**. In 2022 alone, dozens of such lawsuits were filed in the United States.
Ubisoft declined to comment on the situation to the media.
