In a comment from PocketGamer, FreePlay CEO Evgeny Sidorov said that the company is preparing to go beyond hypercage. She's going to shift the focus to casual and hybrid casual games.
"Diversifying our gaming portfolio with new genres will reduce risks and reach a wider audience," Sidorov explained.
FreePlay is far from the first mobile publisher to decide to pay less attention to hyper-casual games and take up hybrid monetization. Last year, the head of Voodoo publishing said that this genre was dead.
