It is called New Radical Games. The founders position it as the direct successor to their previous companies. It is directly stated on the website: Radical Entertainment + Hothead Games = New Radical Games. In this regard, the story claims a unique status.

The CEO of the newly formed studio is Ian Wilkinson. He was also the founder of the original Radical Entertainment in 1991, which he sold to Vivendi Games in 2006. Two years later, he stepped down as CEO and president to retire, only to then lead Hothead Games.

The COO is Tim Bennison. He also worked at Radical Entertainment for a long time, notably as a producer on Prototype. He later managed operations at Gener8 when they were doing graphics for "Guardians of the Galaxy," "Maleficent," "Iron Man 3," and many other films. He then headed Capcom's Vancouver studio before settling at Hothead, where he was responsible for launching Civilization 6 on the Netflix gaming platform.

Radical Entertainment, aside from the Prototype series, did not produce major hits. It was a studio of skilled craftsmen making sports games and games based on movie licenses. As for Hothead Games, it specialized in mobile titles until it closed two years ago, and was responsible for the once-popular Kill Shot series.

In its final months, the studio was developing a project based on an AAA franchise. The plans were to release it simultaneously on mobile devices and on PC/consoles. However, both the mobile and console publishers eventually abandoned the project. The studio was forced to go bankrupt.

What exactly New Radical Games will focus on is still unclear. The website states that the team knows how to "convey the essence of world-class intellectual property and create licensed games that will delight franchise fans worldwide."
