Recently, the portal Insider Gaming reported that about 50 specialists from the Assassin’s Creed Hexe team have been removed from the game's development. They were allegedly given three months to find positions in other Ubisoft teams, or else they would be laid off. Company representatives commented on this in a statement to IGN.

Ubisoft indirectly confirmed Insider Gaming's information but emphasized that nothing catastrophic had happened.
“The movement of employees between teams is a standard part of our work. As project priorities change, employees may move from one project to another where their skills are needed, which helps us maintain flexibility and respond quickly to changes in the workflow,” a Ubisoft representative explained.
The Ubisoft representative did not delve into the details of the event, so the official reason for the reduction of the Assassin’s Creed Hexe team remains unknown.
According to Insider Gaming sources, the decision to remove 50 developers from Assassin’s Creed Hexe was made by the new franchise leaders. It is speculated that their motivation was to stay within budget. It is also possible that the game’s release will now be delayed to a later date—possibly to the end of 2027.
