Last week, the Screen Actors Guild-American Federation of Television and Radio Artists (SAG-AFTRA) announced a strike against major gaming companies, including Electronic Arts (EA). EA's CEO Andrew Wilson assured investors that at least in the near future, his company will not be significantly affected by the protests.

Wilson emphasized that the strike currently applies only to games whose development started after September 2023. This rule also applies to live-service games. Therefore, EA projects that have been in development for a long time are safe. Among them are Dragon Age: The Veilguard and EA Sports FC 25.

Wilson hopes that gaming companies and the Guild will soon return to the negotiation table and resolve their differences. EA intends to actively participate in the negotiations.
