The analytical company Sensor Tower looked at how things were with mobile games in the first quarter of 2022. She found out that gamers began to gradually reduce costs — the numbers are declining for the second quarter in a row.
This time, gamers spent $21.2 billion on mobile games, which is $1.4 billion less than a year ago. At the same time, downloads increased by about 200 million to 14.3 billion.
RPG became the highest-grossing genre, earning about $5.5 billion in the quarter. Real—time strategies turned out to be the fastest growing in terms of money – gamers spent $ 130 million more in them than a year ago (but analysts did not specify how much the genre earned in total).
