Previously based in Minsk, indie studio Sad Cat Studios announced that nearly a million people have added their debut project to their wishlist.

REPLACED is a narrative-driven 2D action platformer, featuring an incredibly vibrant pixel art style reminiscent of the adventure game The Last Night, which has been in development since around 2014.

However, Sad Cat Studios' game has also been in development for quite some time. The team began working on it eight years ago, in 2018. The game is now set to launch on PC and consoles, with a release date scheduled for April 14.

It's quite possible that the launch will be successful. For the Steam festival "Games To Be," the developers released a demo version of the game, which has already garnered over 1,600 reviews and a very high rating (more than 90% of players rated the game positively).

The platformer is part of the investment portfolio of GEM Capital. In October 2023, it was announced that the fund allocated $5 million to the studio for game development. It was reported that part of the amount would go towards further development of REPLACED, whose initial release was planned for 2022.
