The figure was named by Sensor Tower analysts. They looked at the performance of the game from the release date (September 28, 2020) to August 2022.

Gamers from China (32.4%), Japan (24%) and the USA (18.2%) spent the most money in Genshin Impact.

By the end of August, Genshin Impact downloads in the App Store and Google Play exceeded 110 million. In terms of the number of downloads, China was again in the lead — gamers from China were responsible for 21.4% of installations. The second and third places went to the USA (11.8%) and Russia (6.9%).
