Back in May, the Ministry of Finance of the Russian Federation announced that the Russian mobile marketplace RuStore will be pre-installed on smartphones within the country. Today, the agency published a draft Government decree, in which it officially proposed to add RuStore to the list of mandatory applications.
RuStore should be added to the list instead of the APP List — a directory with socially significant applications. As indicated by the Ministry of Finance of the Russian Federation, the functionality of RuStore is wider, so there is no need for an APP List now.
The public discussion of the project will end on August 17.
The beta version of RuStore was released on May 25. By mid-July, 500 thousand people had downloaded the marketplace.
