Thanks to the spring sale, many old hits have predictably returned to the top of Steam's best-selling games. However, the top five remain almost unchanged.

Assassin’s Creed Shadows

R.E.P.O., a cooperative horror game by the Swedish indie studio semiwork, became the highest-grossing product on Steam among paid games for the week from March 11 to March 18. In terms of gross revenue, it was second only to Counter-Strike 2.

Meanwhile, the peak online player count for R.E.P.O. continues to rise — over the weekend it reached 230,000 concurrent users. The game can undoubtedly be called the most notable indie hit of the first quarter of 2025.

Split Fiction remained in third place overall, while Monster Hunter Wilds dropped to fourth.

Discounts during the spring sale boosted the sales of many hits from previous years. Cyberpunk 2077 jumped 60 places to take 7th place in the overall chart. It was followed by Elden Ring (+35 positions, 8th place) and Baldur’s Gate 3 (+25 positions, 10th place).

Red Dead Redemption 2 re-entered the chart at the ninth spot. The most significant revenue growth was seen by Sons of the Forest, which climbed 80 positions to 18th place.

It's also worth noting the pre-order results for Assassin’s Creed Shadows. Ahead of its release on March 20, the game moved up 23 positions to take 14th place overall (11th among paid products).
