Last week, Yves Guillemot made an unfortunate statement. In a letter to employees, he indicated that the fate of Ubisoft is in the hands of developers, and urged developers to give their all. Now the head of the publishing house has apologized for incorrectly chosen words.
According to Kotaku, at a recent meeting at Ubisoft, Giymo said that he did not mean anything bad. He just wanted to emphasize that the company needs the energy and abilities of all employees more than ever before. Guillemot added that this is a “collective journey”, the conditions for effective work during which Ubisoft management should create.
Guillemot did not comment on the French trade union’s call for a strike. But it is reported that HR director Anika Grant refused to discuss the salary increase for employees and the transition to a four-day period in light of current financial problems.
