Recall that Kadokava was arrested in September 2022 on suspicion of bribery. It is assumed that he paid 69 million rubles ($481 thousand) to the organizers of the Olympics in Japan to make Kadokawa Corporation an official sponsor of the Games.
According to the Kyodo news agency, Kadokawa did not admit his guilt. The Japanese prosecutor’s office intends to appeal the court’s decision.
