The Tokyo Prosecutor’s Office believes that Tsuguhiko Kadokawa paid ¥69 million or $481 thousand to Kadokawa Corporation to become one of the sponsors of the Olympics in Japan.
Former Kadokawa Corporation executive director Toshiyuki Yoshihara and manager Kyoji Maniwa were also accused of bribery.
Kadokawa Corporation owns 69.66% of FromSoftware, the developer of Elden Ring and Dark Souls.
