Microsoft has chosen a new head of the Xbox Games Studios division. It was Alan Hartman, who previously headed Turn 10 Studios.

Hartman's promotion became known two weeks after The Verge reported on the reorganization of the Xbox management. Hartman was replaced by Matt Booty, who now holds the position of president of game content and studios.

Hartman has managed Turn 10 Studios since 2005. For the past two years, he has been vice president of the studio and was responsible for the development of the Forza and Fable franchises.
