Indie developer Caro Asercion organized a charity bundle on itch.io to help foundations that fight for the right to abortion. In total, over 600 authors of the platform took part in the fundraising.
At the moment, with the help of the bundle, it was possible to collect $ 134 thousand. The stated goal is $200 thousand.
All the money will be transferred to the National Network of Abortion Funds of the USA (NNAF). This organization supports foundations in 20 states that assist women in terminating pregnancy.
Thus, the developers are protesting against the decision of the US Supreme Court on the abolition of the constitutional right to abortion. As a result, this procedure may become illegal in many states. Some gaming companies, including Microsoft, EA and Sony Santa Monica, have already announced their readiness to help their employees in this matter.
