The Battle Cats — a real-time mobile strategy game in which armies of cats attempt to conquer the world. It was released in November 2012 by the Japanese company PONOS Corporation. According to Sensor Tower analysts, the game has since earned over $700 million.

  • 68% of The Battle Cats' revenue was generated in its home country. The United States (11%) and South Korea (8%) also made it into the top three key markets.
  • For five consecutive years (2019-2023), The Battle Cats has held the number one spot among the highest-grossing mobile RTS games in Japan.
  • It is quite likely that in 2024 it will once again be named the highest-grossing mobile RTS in Japan. In fact, for the January-June 2024 period, The Battle Cats earned more in Japan than any other game in this genre.
  • Since June 2021, the average MAU in The Battle Cats in Japan has consistently exceeded one million people.
  • The Sensor Tower report does not disclose how many downloads The Battle Cats has amassed. According to AppMagic, the game has been downloaded 78.3 million times to date.
