Supercell has stopped developing another game. She announced the closure of Floodrush three months after the launch of limited beta testing.

“Throughout the beta testing phase, we carefully analyzed each feedback sent and identified a number of problems related, in particular, to game mechanics, controls, character dynamics and artistic aspects,” Supercell wrote in its blog.

According to Supercell, it needed to make major changes to Floodrush in order for it to start meeting the company’s standards. They were so large-scale that they turned the Floodrush into something too far from the original vision.

Floodrush was the second game that Supercell announced it was closing in the last 12 months. In October 2022, the Finns decided to cancel the Everdale urban planner, but eventually it was saved. In January, Metacore studio bought the rights to Everdale and all its assets, promising to “resurrect” the project.

We wrote in detail about the Floodrush in this article.
